If you really want to experience the "thunder", leave the flow control off.

The unique Acrobat Extension Arm has multiple ratchet and pivot action providing a variety of positions that, when straightened, extends 10 inches.Thunderhead is the perfect rain shower head if you have low water pressure and delivers a strong water flow with great spray power.
